About Hilite

We believe every voice deserves to be heard

Hilite exists to make podcasting accessible to everyone.

Our story

We started Hilite because creating a podcast felt harder than it should.

What we believe

Three principles that show up in every product decision we make. They are also the test we use when we are choosing between two roads.

01 — Effortless

Make the next episode cheaper than the last

Most podcasts quit because the cost of doing the work again next week is too high. Every feature we ship has to make that cost lower, not higher. If it is harder to use than the thing it replaces, we cut it.

02 — Intentional

The voice is the work, the rest is plumbing

We pick our defaults so the host can focus on what they are saying. Levels, loudness, codec, hosting, distribution, those are our jobs. The host's job is to be honest at the mic, and to ship.

03 — Human

We do not flatten what makes a voice yours

Our enhancement preserves tone, cadence, and accent. We do not train on your audio. We do not auto-generate your opinions. The AI is a tool you point, not a voice you imitate.

By the numbers

2024

Founded

Started in a kitchen on the question of why most shows quit after two episodes. We are still answering it.

12K

Creators on the platform

Coaches, founders, educators, journalists, comics, and showrunners. Twelve thousand voices, shipping.

60+

Countries

Hilite runs in any modern browser, in any timezone. Studio quality is no longer a postcode.

The people behind the work

Three of us building the simplest way to go from raw audio to published episode. Remote, noisy on Slack, and always looking for the next problem worth solving.
