How to record an audio course

Break the course into lesson-sized recordings and mark examples, pauses, and calls to action.

Choose a quiet, soft-furnished room. Keep the microphone a consistent distance from the speaker and remove preventable noise before using processing.

Record a short section at realistic volume. Listen for clipping, echo, plosives, background noise, and any change in tone when the speaker moves.

Capture an audio course in manageable sections. When a mistake happens, pause and repeat the full sentence so the edit is easy to locate.

Keep the original recording until the final version has been reviewed.
