How to record a prayer

Outline the prayer and decide whether the finished recording is private, shared with a group, or published.

The target is an intimate spoken recording with clear words and natural silence. Decide the length, sections, and final destination before recording.

Choose a quiet, soft-furnished room. Keep the microphone a consistent distance from the speaker and remove preventable noise before using processing.

Record a short section at realistic volume. Listen for clipping, echo, plosives, background noise, and any change in tone when the speaker moves.

Capture a prayer in manageable sections. When a mistake happens, pause and repeat the full sentence so the edit is easy to locate.

Keep the original recording until the final version has been reviewed.
