01 — Choose the promise
Lead with the value, not the episode number
Before creating a post, identify the one problem, insight or story the episode gives the audience. The promotion should make sense to someone who has never heard of the show.
Use a direct hook that earns attention before mentioning the podcast.
02 — Find clip-worthy moments
Choose moments that stand on their own
A good promotional clip contains one clear idea, enough context to understand it and a finish that feels satisfying or creates a useful question.
Search the transcript for a surprising claim, emotional turn, practical framework or concise story. Then trim away setup that the social viewer does not need.
Turn the episode into focused clips
Find a moment, trim it and prepare it for sharing.
03 — Match the format
Build more than one Instagram asset
Use a short Reel for voice and personality, a carousel for a framework or list, Stories for reminders and behind-the-scenes context, and a static quote only when the line is strong enough to carry the post.
The goal is not to post the same creative repeatedly. It is to express the same episode value in formats people consume differently.
04 — Write the caption
Give the clip context and a next step
Use the first line to continue the hook, explain why the idea matters and tell the reader exactly where to hear the full conversation. Avoid captions that only say a new episode is live.
Name the show and episode clearly, and make the listening path easy to follow through the profile link, Story link or platform search.
05 — Repeat the campaign
Promote an episode more than once
Publish the strongest asset near release, then use additional moments over the following days. A full episode can support several distinct posts without repeating the same message.
Track which topics and openings earn saves, shares, profile visits and listening actions, then use those patterns in future episodes.
One episode can become a week of useful promotion.
