Dumi Mabhena is the Co-founder and CEO of Hilite. Before starting the company, he spent eight years working at the intersection of audio and independent publishing — first as a radio producer, then as a podcast consultant helping independent creators and mid-size brands build shows from scratch.

He started Hilite after watching too many good voices go quiet, not from lack of something to say, but from the weight of the tooling. The question driving the company remains the same one from the beginning: what would podcasting look like if the software was built for the person holding the mic, not the person who built the DAW?

He writes regularly on the Hilite blog about audio production, the creator economy, and what it takes to ship a show every week without burning out.
