01 — CHOOSE
Choose Voice Memos or a browser recorder
Voice Memos is built in and ideal for a fast private note. Recording in Safari is more convenient when the result will become a published episode, lesson, meditation, or voiceover.
Hilite runs in the browser, so there is no desktop software to install.
02 — SETUP
Allow the microphone and run a test
When Safari asks for microphone access, choose Allow. If it was previously blocked, open the site settings in Safari and change the microphone permission.
Record ten seconds at your intended distance and listen back with headphones.
03 — SOUND
Make an iPad voice recording sound cleaner
Keep the iPad still on a padded surface, stay out of the wind, and speak from a consistent distance. Avoid large bare rooms and noisy charging accessories.
For an external microphone, use a compatible USB-C or Lightning adapter and confirm the input before the take.
