01 · Quick answer
Yes, Adobe Podcast has a free plan
You need a free Adobe account, and you get Enhance Speech, the browser Studio and Mic Check. The limits are what matter for a podcast: as reported in October 2026, free Enhance Speech takes audio files up to 30 minutes and 500 MB, with about one hour of enhancement per day, and Studio projects are capped at 30 minutes with two downloads a day. Adobe changes these, so check the plans page in your account before you rely on them.
- Enhance Speech: up to 30 min and 500 MB per file
- About 1 hour of enhancement per day
- Audio only on the free plan
- Studio: 30-minute projects, 2 downloads a day
03 · The catch
When the free plan stops working for a podcast
Most interview episodes run longer than 30 minutes, so on the free plan you split the file, enhance each part on different days if you pass the hourly cap, and stitch it back together in another editor. Enhance Speech also cleans the voice only: you still need to cut mistakes, add intro music, write show notes and publish somewhere else. One founder we interviewed ran Zoom recordings through Audacity, then Adobe Enhance, then Auphonic, then a host: four tools for one episode. If you'd rather stay free and manual, Audacity can do some of it; see isolating a voice in Audacity.
- Episodes over 30 minutes need splitting
- Cleanup only: editing and publishing are separate
- Video needs Premium
