How to manage your shows and episodes in Hilite

Create a podcast show, complete its details and artwork, organize its episodes, and find the tools needed for distribution.

01 — OVERVIEW

Keep each podcast and its episodes organized

A show is the home for a podcast in Hilite. It contains the show’s identity and settings, along with the published, scheduled, hidden, and in-progress episodes that belong to it.

This guide covers creating a show, entering its information, adding artwork, changing or deleting it later, reviewing its episode categories, and finding distribution links for podcast platforms.

02 — CREATE

Create a new show

Open the Shows area and select Create Show. This begins the setup for a new podcast and the episodes you will organize beneath it.

Give the show a clear working title. You can refine the title and other details later, so focus first on creating a usable home for the podcast.

03 — DETAILS

Add the show’s essential information

Complete the available show fields, including the title, primary language, author or creator name, and time zone.

Choose the information that listeners should associate with the podcast. The time zone helps Hilite interpret scheduled publishing times correctly.

  • Enter the show title.
  • Choose the primary language.
  • Add the author or creator name.
  • Select the correct time zone.

04 — ARTWORK

Upload a thumbnail for the show

Add a square thumbnail or cover image that represents the show. This artwork helps you recognize the podcast inside Hilite and may also be used where the show appears to listeners.

Choose a clear, high-quality image that remains readable at a small size. Once the required details and artwork are in place, select Create Show.

  • Use a clear square image.
  • Check that important text remains readable at thumbnail size.
  • Confirm the required show details before creating the show.

05 — SETTINGS

Edit the show or move it to Trash

Open the show’s settings whenever you need to update its title, language, creator information, time zone, artwork, or other available details.

If the show is no longer needed, use the delete option to move it to Trash. Review the selected show carefully before confirming so you do not remove the wrong podcast.

06 — EPISODES

Review published, scheduled, and hidden episodes

Select a show to open its individual workspace. From there, use the episode categories to understand what is already live, what is scheduled for later, and what has been hidden.

Keeping episodes beneath the correct show makes it easier to review the podcast as a whole and manage each episode through its publishing lifecycle.

  • Published episodes are already available to listeners.
  • Scheduled episodes are set to publish later.
  • Hidden episodes are not currently visible to the audience.

07 — DISTRIBUTION

Use Distribution to connect podcast platforms

Open the Distribution area when you are ready to make the show available through external podcast platforms.

Use the provided setup information and quick links to continue the submission or connection process for destinations such as Apple Podcasts and Spotify. Each platform may require its own account, review, and approval steps.
